Our tour starts with hotel pick up on the first day of 5 days desert tour from Tangier, then we go straight towards Chefchaouen its the blue city as people like to call it, you will be struck by the extravagant beauty and charm of its narrow streets adorned with green plants and red roses, we will take a walk on this beautiful town, and drink mint tea in the grand square called Plaza Ultra Hammam where is many shops and restaurants. The tour in the medina will take us to small and tiny squares. After lunch we will head towards Fes to rest and prepare for the route to Sahara
After having you breakfast in the blue city, we will depart toward Volubilis. This later is an old Roman site which represents the very southern presence of the Roman Empire. Later we stop to have lunch at the city of Meknes created by Moulay Ismail one of the first kings of the old Monarchs of Morocco, after lunch time will visit many places to name but a few: Bab Mansour a big door on the old wall of the city which will take us directly to Moulay Ismail palace. Also we will visit the Herri Es-Souani an old horses stable and granaries with the large pool.
After we come to visit Meknes, we will continue our drive towards Fez, the old capital of Morocco known as the scientific capital of Morocco because of its old Karawiyin Madrassa or the oldest University in the world recognized; the city as a world heritage by UNSCO in 1981.
The voyage will continue after a tasty breakfast at the hotel in Fez Heading towards Merzouga known by its golden desert in the south east of Morocco. Through the route we will go drive by the city of Ifran; different from the other cities of the country Ifran has a European wonderful architecture surrounded by the Cedar forest; here we can stop to feed monkeys living in that forest and enjoy the fresh air.
After that we will continue the route to Midelt city; located in the middle atlas; known for its apple production and the ancient mines of plumb. We will stop there for lunch time and continue the trip.the next direction will be Erfoud an oasis town in eastern Morocco, crossing the Tizi Ntalghamt a passage through the mountain that will transport you to another landscape view with deserted mountains except next the river.
Arriving to Arfoud the trip we will drive directly to Merzouga stop at an auberge and leave your luggage there and ride camels to the khaima “the tent” in the desert. You will be served dinner then listen the local music with drums and dance around a campfire.
The camel man will wake you up to enjoy a magnificent view of the sunrise. Then you will ride camels back to Merzouga. After freshening up and having breakfast, we will continue our day in Todra gorge via the beautiful Tinghir. Todra is very popular among climbers thanks to its narrow and high gorges. we leave Dades for Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa). During our discovery tour, we stop to visit the beautiful Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna. We will also drive along the fascinating road of the Thousand Kasbahs, where you can take great photos.
The next place to visit is the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. It is an amazing and historical site that served as a backdrop for several Hollywood movies (Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven…) and international TV shows (Prison Break Season 5, Game of Thrones…). The city is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Then we will drive to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2260 meters high above the Atlas Mountains), admiring the breathtaking landscapes and views. Overnight stay in a riad in Marrakech.
